Geingob visits Namdia

President Hage Geingob for the first time visited Namib Desert Diamond (Namdia) this week.
The invitation, which was extended to the president, is part of Namdia’s newly appointed chief executive officer Alisa Amupolo’s 100 Days-In-Office objectives.
As Namdia enters into a new five-year integrated plan of business refinement and expanding horizons, the objective of the visit was primarily to showcase the company’s purchase entitlement and provide an overview of its mandate and strategic objectives.
Other guests included mines minister Tom Alweendo; chairman of the Namdia board Bryan Eiseb, deputy minister of mines Kornelia Shilunga, and ambassador Leonard Ipumbu.
Part of the programme included the inauguration of the Dr Hage Geingob boardroom, where Namdia conducts most of its business and an inspection of rough diamonds in the headquarters’ highly secured diamond production zone.
