RedForce responsible for City debts
The City of Windhoek (CoW) has appointed RedForce Debt Management CC as its debt collection agent for a period of three years, effective 1 August 2022.According to a statement released by the CoW, RedForce is responsible for carrying out debt collection efforts in the capital and surrounding areas, with the aim of recovering all outstanding monies owed to the City in respect of arrears by both residential and business clients.
In light of this, the CoW advised residents to engage directly with RedForce regarding the settlement of outstanding accounts, although all payments still need to be made to the CoW – either at their offices or directly into the City’s bank account (FNB, CoW, Branch 281872 – Windhoek Corporate Suite; Acc 55500033613), giving their municipal account number as reference.
Furthermore, the CoW said that services for all handed-over accounts will be suspended during the period that the account is with RedForce and until such a time the outstanding amount is settled and/or a payment arrangements are concluded.
