RND Holdings opens new Windhoek office

Celebrating the growth of Namibian entrepreneurship
RND Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a trailblazing entity founded in 2015, celebrated the inauguration of its new business premises in Windhoek.
The Minister of Industrialisation and Trade, Hon. Lucia Iipumbu officially inaugurated the new premises alongside the Executive Director: MSME Development, Innovation and Acceleration of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), Dino Balotti.
The inauguration ceremony commenced with the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the significance of this milestone in RND Holdings' journey. The ceremony was attended by stakeholders, business leaders, and other attendees from various sectors.
RND Holdings, under the leadership of a dynamic young entrepreneur, has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the development of Namibia. With a vision rooted in creating employment opportunities for the youth, RND Holdings continues to employ and nurture a vibrant team, contributing to the nation's socio-economic growth.
The accolades achieved by RND Holdings, including the prestigious DBN Enterprise and Innovation Award in 2015 and the recognition as the "Emerging Business Leader and Notable CSR Compliant Company of the Year" at the Africa Dubai Global Honours event, highlight the organisation's excellence and dedication to corporate social responsibility.
At the inauguration, tracksuits and playing gear sponsored by RND Holdings were handed over to the Swakopmund-based Blue Boys Football Club, the boyhood club and hometown of RND owner, Regto David. The event saw Technical Director Likkius Elias receiving this donation.
The inauguration event revolved around the theme, "The importance of investment in Namibia and the support of businesses to continue thriving".
This resonates with the core values of RND Holdings and was further emphasised by Dino Balotti. “The NIPDB has a division catering specifically for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, as well as start-ups. We were created to enable a better quality of life for all Namibians and work towards targeted support of this sector daily. To have the Honourable Minister here today, someone that advocates for entrepreneurs big and small, a leader who is passionate about Namibia and especially MSMEs, we are most fortunate," he said.
Encouragement
Speaking at the event, Minister IIpumbu provided words of inspiration to young entrepreneurs. "One of my ministry’s key objectives is the acceleration of enterprise growth and development. It is therefore gratifying to witness this momentous occasion, which signifies the growth of one of our own business ventures, RND Holdings. Despite economic and business challenges experienced over the years due to a series of multifaceted phenomena, RND Holdings persevered against all odds through innovation and resilience in their quest to drive entrepreneurship and this can be attested to by a number of both national and international awards they have received in recognition of their excellence.”
At the same event, David reflected on his journey as an entrepreneur, saying he strives to serve as a beacon of hope to fellow entrepreneurs and those aspiring to walk the same path. “As we embark on this new chapter, we are reminded of the responsibility that comes with success – the responsibility to uplift, empower, and inspire the next generation of young entrepreneurs. Today, as we celebrate the inauguration of our new premises, we also celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship that thrives within our nation.”
He added that according to statistics, SMEs in Namibia provide employment and incomes to approximately 160 000 people, underscoring the vital role that businesses like RND play in driving economic growth and prosperity.
