Rhino Battery Solutions CC is a proudly Namibian company that has been supplying affordable and reliable power since its establishment in 2013. The business was founded after its owner observed that many customers preferred practical, low-cost, “old-school” style batteries. This inspired him to design and provide simple, durable and affordable products that meet the needs of the local market.Trading under the Rhino Powa brand, the company specialises in vehicle batteries and solar batteries. What sets Rhino Battery Solutions apart is its dedication to customer care. Alongside sales, the business provides free after-sales service, which includes battery testing, vehicle solenoid testing, and an exclusive service plan – a feature not offered by any other battery supplier in Namibia.
Milestones
Since its inception, the company has achieved several important milestones. In 2014, the first generation of Rhino Powa vehicle batteries was launched, followed by solar batteries in 2015. The product line expanded further in 2018 with the introduction of second-generation maintenance-free vehicle batteries, and in 2019, second-generation solar batteries entered the market. Demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility, Rhino Battery Solutions kept its pre-pandemic pricing in 2020 and 2021, despite the sharp rise in raw material and transport costs, as a way of supporting the community during the COVID-19 crisis.
Looking ahead, the company aims to expand into renewable energy solutions by developing small household power backup packages and off-grid solar products. This forward-looking approach reflects its mission to provide accessible energy options for Namibians both on and off the grid.
Although Rhino Battery Solutions does not currently operate branches, it is actively seeking dealers and distributors to grow its presence in the market. Its Rhino Powa vehicle batteries are priced competitively between N$1 000 and N$2 000, offering unbeatable value without compromising on quality.
