Founded by Anthony Mouton, Ochsenwagen Hotel Pension blends a rich family history with heartfelt service, providing guests with a welcoming stay and versatile event facilities.

Situated in the heart of Rehoboth, Ochsenwagon Hotel Pension is a warm and inviting establishment with a rich family legacy. Founded by Anthony Mouton, the property has a history spanning more than five decades.
Originally the family home where Mouton grew up, the building was later purchased from his younger sister and transformed into the hotel pension it is today.
What began as a personal project after Mouton’s retirement has grown into a well-established hospitality business. With a background as a building contractor, he designed and oversaw the property’s transformation. “This place was built from my heart,” he shared, reflecting on how surviving a serious illness became a turning point that inspired him to dedicate himself fully to this venture.
The hotel pension boasts 60 rooms, offering a comfortable and serene stay for both local and international guests. Its fully equipped restaurant can accommodate around 60 diners, serving a variety of freshly prepared meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Pizza is a popular offering, alongside other local and international dishes.
Beyond accommodation and dining, Ochsenwagen Hotel Pension features a conference room available for hire, making it an ideal venue for business meetings, workshops and community gatherings.
The establishment also includes an event venue with seating for approximately 150 guests, plus a bar area designed for private functions such as birthdays and special celebrations.
The business employs nine staff members – a small but dedicated team committed to delivering excellent service. Mouton takes pride in the unique charm of the establishment, describing it as “a special place where people come to relax and feel at home.”
Ochsenwagen Hotel Pension stands out not only for its strategic location in Rehoboth and its facilities, but also for the personal touch that reflects its founder’s story of resilience, faith and passion.
This is more than a business; it’s a family legacy and a welcoming space for all who visit.
