Established in 1933, the Swaco Group of Companies is managed and owned by Namibians, with its headquarters based in Windhoek.

The Swaco holding company is managed by a team of highly experienced directors and managers with a wealth of diverse business experience, says key accounts manager Riana Liebenberg.
She added that since establishment, the group has expanded to provide a variety of services and products to clients across the country, which range from importation and distribution of various types of industrial chemicals, industrial racks and shelving, office furniture, filing systems for professionals, as well as commercial printing.
“Each of these services and products are grouped into the seven companies under the Swaco Group,” she said.
One of these is Maizey Plastics, distributes engineering and industrial plastics, signage and glazing materials. The company specialises in digital print media, aluminium sign systems and point-of-purchase components to the signage industry.
Another company is Shelving Solutions that supplies gondola shelving and industrial racks to offer efficient storage solutions. This company focuses mainly on warehouse design and projects by supplying racks and shelving. The products are supplied as part of a professional design and installation service. With a wide range of options available, all systems can be tailor-made to meet precise needs and requirements.
“All our products are manufactured to the SABS ISO 9001 standards, which is monitored for full traceability,” Liebenberg said.
Then there is Cernol Chemicals that manufactures a wide range of formulated cleaning products to all sectors of the local economy. These consist of liquid and powder detergents, degreasers and various speciality chemicals. “We are committed to purchasing specialised raw material and packaging in a bid to manufacture products strictly according to specifications to ensure high-quality finished products. Cernol is also ISO 9001 registered, which speaks for itself as this is a standard we set with our quality products,” she added.
Meanwhile Trolleyquip and Trolleycare specialises in the manufacturing, repair and maintenance of trolleys, which includes mineral and plastic shopping trolleys and baskets, Tuff Truck trolleys, pallet jacks, ladders and safety steps. It also offers stock holding to ensure on-time service delivery.
Spice and Scale World is a retailer of spices, sauces, scales and butchery equipment as well as artificial and natural casings, while Print Solutions is the supplier of pre-printed continuous paper for commercial printing, security seals and bags.
Finally, Office World focuses on and supplies executive offices with furniture.
The groups’ ultimate mission is “to continuously drive our customers’ perception of value by offering high-quality products and services which exceed our stakeholders’ expectations. Furthermore, we would like to grow our business through high ethical standards, and improving job opportunities in Namibia,” Liebenberg said.
The group’s vision is “to accelerate wealth creation and equity to become an attractive Namibia Stock Exchange listing”.
