Chop chop credit card fraud

Tap tap! It happens in a second and your debit or credit card has been cloned without you even being aware of it, while the vendors also have no idea how it happened.
Fraud victims inevitably suspect that sales staff and criminals have colluded when a debit or credit card has been cloned and unknown payments are debited from the bank shortly afterwards.
The picture and the video (scan the QR code) show how the fraudster "coincidentally" hovers his cell phone over the card offered by the customer for payment at the same time that it is held over the electronic eye of the Point of Sale device.
The recording was taken seven days ago.
Similarly, NMH recently asked a fuel station attendant to pass the POS past the wallet in this reporter's back pocket to check whether the device could scan the card in the wallet - one out of three attempts worked!
Namibian banks advise clients to be vigilant of card fraudsters and to keep an eye on your card. Do not allow yourself to be sidetracked either at the ATM or, as in this case, at the counter. The victim had no idea her card was being cloned.
