Looser and Thiel excel in Moon Landscape

Swiss-based Namibian star cyclist and mountain biker Vera Looser was among the entries for a well-attended opening race in the Moon Landscape near Swakopmund on Saturday. Finishing ahead of her main challenger Anri Greeff, Looser won the women’s race of the inaugural opener of the Hollard Grand Prix Series, which offers big prize money to the series winners. In the men’s race, the junior Marco Thiel achieved an excellent win ahead of the likes of Martin Freyer, Drikus Coetzee, Ingram Cuff and Roger Surén. Leading race results on page 2. Photo Instagram
