DHPS bids Abitur graduates farewell
On Tuesday, the DHPS in Windhoek bade farewell to 54 Abitur students, having concluded their school journey. With an average of 2.11 and three graduates achieving exceptional 1.0 results, the Class of 2023 can take great pride in their accomplishments. Beyond academic achievements, these graduates have excelled in athletics, languages, and music, and demonstrated outstanding social skills, positioning them well for successful international studies or training.
While not all their plans are concrete, many share a common plan to acquire knowledge that can benefit Namibia, one of the graduates stated.
"That is indeed a great plan," DHPS Principal Kristin Eichholz emphasized in her speech during the graduation ceremony.
In general, the graduating class of 2023 exudes a sense of modesty. Alongside the graduates of the Cambridge International Certificate branch of DHPS, they planted a tree on the school grounds, leaving a "legacy" for the school.
Eichholz commended this choice as a rare and admirable attitude, particularly in the current times. "Not seeing yourself as the centre of attention and giving back to the school for the benefit of others is not only sustainable but also a sign of humility towards the school and the people who work here."
The DHPS school community extends its best wishes to the 2023 Abitur graduates, hoping for their continued success as remarkable individuals in their future endeavours.
