DHPS Expo 2024: A look behind the scenes

From kindergarten to the DHPS support centre, to open orchestra rehearsals, insights into the subject departments and judo practice – the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule Windhoek Open Day last week gave visitors, parents and interested parties a detailed look behind the scenes of the school.
At the entrance, school management and representatives of the admin department answered questions and took the visitors on school tours, while further information about the school's offerings and unique features was available at the various exhibition stands.
The departments also had the opportunity to introduce themselves, including the DHPS kindergarten for kids from 3 months and the preschool, afternoon care at the DHPS Child & Youth Centre as well as the boarding school. Information about their subjects and teaching methods was shared – whether in the literature café or by introducing the German language diploma, with “explosive” science experiments, pondering at the math Olympiad or with French culinary delicacies.
In addition, the school tours provided valuable insights into the state-of-the-art science laboratories and classrooms, the sports hall, the library, the DHPS support centre and the diverse school life.
What was noticeable was the commitment of the entire DHPS team: From the LRC, the teachers, and educators to the administrative team - the pride in and dedication to their school was sensed and captivated the visitors.
