Lil-Lets helping to keep girls in school

The Namibian edition of the Lil-Lets Girls Supporting Girls campaign focused on rewarding consumers and communities while solving real problems for girls in need.
The campaign has been running since February 2022.
Thanks to the campaign, four schools in Namibia – Hage Geingob Secondary School, Oshakati Secondary School, Coastal High School, and C.J. Brandt High School – benefited from the over 3 000 pads donated by the brand's consumers.
As part of the campaign, Lil-Lets called on consumers to play their part in helping disadvantaged girls from their communities by purchasing two Lil-Lets products – one for themselves and the other for a girl in need. By doing so, they stood the chance of winning a cash prize of N$3 000 and pads for themselves, while donating to a school of their choice.
To help drive the Lil-Lets Girls Supporting Girls movement in Namibia, musician Top Cheri joined the campaign. The artist herself is passionate about keeping girls in school. “Being involved in the Girls Supporting Girls campaign is an honour. My passion lies in assisting young girls. I am grateful to be a part of the campaign, which has allowed me to educate girls about sanitary products,” she said.
Namibia recently joined the ranks of several countries fighting menstrual poverty by zero-rating sanitary pads, making menstrual hygiene products more affordable for young girls. The campaign will assist in driving awareness about the need for sanitary products in less fortunate communities.
“I received a call that I had won the campaign cash prize of N$3 000. It was unbelievable! When I went to the school handover, a teacher mentioned that they were running out of sanitary towels so they are really happy and grateful to Lil-Lets,” one of the winners from Swakopmund said.
The schools selected to receive the donations were grateful to be a part of the campaign, with the most recent winner being announced at the school handover on 3 June 2022 at the C.J. Brandt Secondary School.
