#JustIn: Electricity in Windhoek now 8.6% more expensive

Electricity in the capital city is 8.6% more expensive as of 1 August, the Windhoek Municipality (CoW) has just announced.
Initially, CoW applied for a 14% increase with the Electricity Control Board (ECB).
Since the beginning of the month, CoW has been selling prepaid electricity at N$3.60/kWh. An ECB levy of 2 cents and just over 1.5 cents for the National Energy Fund are additionally charged.
