Namibia Energy Connect & Energy Trailblazer Awards in November
The Namibia Youth Energy Forum (NYEF) has announced the Namibia Energy Connect & Energy Trailblazer Awards 2025, scheduled for 4 and 5 November at Droombos on the outskirts of the capital.Hosted by NYEF under the patronage of the Office of the First Spouse and in strategic partnership with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), the Namibia Petroleum Operators Association (NAMPOA) and the Namibia Green Hydrogen Programme, the event is supported by Bank BIC Namibia and leading energy companies, including TotalEnergies EP Namibia, Shell Upstream BV and KAESO Energy Services.
The two-day programme features exhibitions, master classes, strategic roundtables, SME showcases, and the Energy Trailblazer Awards Gala, which recognises excellence in Namibia’s energy sector. Awards will be presented across more than 15 categories, including innovation, leadership, renewable energy, mentorship, community impact and women in energy.
A highlight of this year’s event will be the official launch of the Youth Energy Fund, an initiative aimed at supporting youth-led projects, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating pathways into Namibia’s expanding energy sector. The fund represents a long-term investment in building local capacity, skills, and opportunities for young Namibians.
Speaking ahead of the event, NYEF Director Andreas Paulus said: “Namibia Energy Connect & the Energy Trailblazer Awards is more than an event. It is a national platform for empowerment, collaboration, and action. With the support of our partners, we are building a future where young Namibians are central to driving the country’s energy transition.”
Industry leaders play a key role in the event’s success, providing technical expertise, mentorship and financial support to help youth and SMEs thrive in the sector.
