CCF, World Wildlife Day commemorated

In commemoration of World Wildlife Day 2024, the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) hosts an informative celebration in Otjiwarongo at the public lawn next to SPAR on B1 Road today (1 March).
The event, coordinated with the help of the Namibian Environmental Educators Network (NEEN) will be attended by students from local Otjiwarongo schools and the B2Gold Environmental Education Centre. The day of fun and educational activities will focus on conservation and sustainable practices to build awareness about the importance of conserving wildlife habitats.
Activities include a poster competition from participating schools, information booths from CCF and B2Gold Education Centre, and poetry and dances performed by students from local schools.
With Namibia and the world facing unprecedented challenges such as habitat loss, climate change, poaching, and illegal wildlife trade, the need to protect and conserve our natural resources has never been more critical.
Dr Laurie Marker, founder and executive director of CCF says that World Wildlife Day serves as a poignant reminder of the interconnectedness of all life on Earth and the urgent need for concerted action to protect and preserve our planet's precious biodiversity. “At the CCF, we are committed to working alongside partners and stakeholders to promote conservation efforts, foster sustainable practices, and safeguard the future of our planet for generations to come.”
Join CCF and NEEN to celebrate World Wildlife Day 2024, and commit to protecting and preserving the incredible diversity of life on Earth and help make a difference to ensure a sustainable future for all.
