Stampriet launches community cleaning campaign
The initiative, which seeks to foster a culture of responsibility among residents, was officially launched by Riaan McNab Hardap Region Governor on Friday. The governor stressed that the campaign goes beyond simply picking up litter, describing it as a reflection of the community’s values and identity.
He noted that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility, urging residents to take ownership of their surroundings rather than leaving the task to authorities alone. “A clean village reflects a responsible and dignified society,” McNab said.
He further encouraged the community to adopt cleanliness as a daily habit, highlighting Stampriet’s strategic position as a gateway for visitors and potential investors. He added that the appearance of the village plays a vital role in shaping first impressions and attracting development opportunities. The campaign is expected to strengthen community unity while promoting a healthier and more attractive environment for all residents.
