City prepares for the art festival with Poetry Night

The Windhoek Municipality's upper car park came to life on Friday evening as poetry lovers gathered for an evening of spoken word and creativity.
The event, titled 'Night of Poetry', served as a prelude to the upcoming Windhoek /Ae //Gams arts and culture festival, taking place on 26 and 27 April.
The Poetry Night was a resounding success, attracting a wide range of visitors including families, students and poetry lovers, with ten poets of different ages taking ti the stage and to present a variety of poetic styles and themes.
Among the performers were four high school students who brought a unique dynamic to the event with their youthful energy and fresh perspectives.
The Night of Poetry took place as part of the preparations for the Windhoek /Ae //Gams arts and culture festival, which will be one of the city's most important cultural events this year.
The festival aims to celebrate Windhoek's rich cultural heritage and provide a platform for local artists and performers to showcase their talents.
