Yesterday the Namibian Police (NamPol), the City Police as well as members of Namibia Protection Services met with representatives of the Namibia Media Holdings at the SKW, where the annual Tourism Expo (TE) will be taking place from 3 to 5 November.
“It is a smart partnership and serves to provide our visitors and exhibitors with the necessary security,” said TE spokesperson, Maggy Mbako.
Access to this year's event is from 14:00 on Thursday, followed by the official opening an hour later. The usual big rush is expected on Friday, which is why the exhibitors have come up with lots of special offers. Combined with the N$1 000 redeemable vouchers, visitors can look forward to some bargains. Friday offers a full program, including the Tourism Namibia broadcast where the candidates for the Tourismus Tourist of the Year competition will be chosen, as well as musical entertainment.
Other highlights are a pet show and Republikein’s Bridal Couple of the Year competition on Saturday, along with performances by various artists.
