German opera stars headed to Namibia

The German Embassy announced two public concerts by tenor Stefan Vinke, soprano Sabine Vinke and pianist Heinz Walter Florin.
Tenor Stefan Vinke graduated as a church musician from the Cologne College of Music before beginning his professional singing career in Karlsruhe and Krefeld / Mönchengladbach. In 1999, he was named "young heroic tenor" at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, where he was voted "male revelation of the year" by Opernwelt magazine in 2000.
World-renowned as an interpreter of Wagner's great tenor roles, he has performed on numerous occasions throughout the world in the finest opera houses: The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden with Sir Antonio Pappano; the Metropolitan Opera, New York; Wiener Staatsoper; Deutsche Oper Berlin; Salzburg and at the Bayreuth festival
Soprano Sabine Vinke graduated from the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe. In 2002, she received a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Foundation in Bayreuth. Sabine began her career as an opera soloist in productions at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the Opéra du Rhin Strasbourg and the Teatro di San Carlo Naples.
In recent years, Sabine has focused on some of the most demanding repertoire for a lyric soprano, which has continued to grow since she made a name for herself around the world. In addition to her performances, since 2016 she has run the vocal studio Mozart 19 in Hagesheim, which offers singing lessons and prepares young singers for entrance exams.
Heinz Walter Florin, a pianist, conductor and composer, was trained by major teachers. As a pianist, he has been a soloist in piano recitals and orchestral concerts instrumental partner in piano, chamber music, song recitals with internationally renowned artists and orchestras. As a conductor of international orchestras, he is also in demand. He repeatedly conducted the NDR Radio Philharmonic Hannover, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, the Bonn Beethoven Orchestra and many other well-known orchestras. From 2007 to 2014 he has been chief conductor of the Elbland Music Festival in cooperation with the Berlin television of Germany.
Dates and times
The first concert takes place at Suiderhof Primary School in the capital on 12 April at 18:00, and the second at Haus Der Jugend in Swakopmund on 19 April at 18:00. While admission is free, due to limited seating confirm your attendance via [email protected].
