Entries for the Shoprite & Checkers Namibian Champion Boerewors Competition are now open!

Since its inception in 2010, the Shoprite & Checkers Namibian Champion Boerewors Competition has become one of the most well-known and loved culinary competitions in the country, aiming to provide all Namibian households with top quality, affordable boerewors.
Sanet Prinsloo, the boerewors queen and competition facilitator, has been part and parcel of the boerewors-family since day one and there is no holding her back.
“Finding the best, traditional boerewors in Namibia is what makes this competition so exciting for me. Year after year, I am honoured to be part of this amazing initiative.”
Besides the fact that your authentic boerewors recipe will be available on Shoprite & Checkers shelves nationwide, the winner walks away with a shopping voucher of N$150 000, while second and third-placed participants win vouchers of N$100 000 and N$50 000 respectively.
“This is major. Do you know what this can do for you? Everyone needs extra help, especially during these tough times,” Prinsloo says. “I just love boerewors. And I also love people who love boerewors. It can really change your life!”
The 2022 winning boerewors will be available at all Shoprite & Checkers outlets nationwide as from 24 September 2022.
