A fistball festival is set to delight enthusiasts this weekend as the International Cohen Tournament 2026 kicks off on Saturday at 08:00. Among the competitors are German Bundesliga powerhouses TSV Calw and NLV Stuttgart Vaihingen, both regarded as strong favourites for the title.

A total of 20 teams will battle it out across 46 matches in four categories, promising exciting duels and top-class fistball action for spectators.

Category A features eight teams split into two groups. Group A comprises TSV Calw, CFC 2, SFC 1, and SKW 1, while reigning champions and hosts CFC 1 face NLV Stuttgart Vaihingen, SFC 2, and the Namibian U18 national team in Group B. The top two teams from each preliminary round will advance to the final, while the remaining teams will compete for fifth to eighth place.

In Category B, four teams vie for the trophy: hosts CFC 3, SFC 3, SKW 2, and the Women’s National Team. The top two teams in this category will proceed directly to the final.

Preliminary round matches will feature 10-minute halves, while intermediate rounds will be played best of three sets, and placement matches best of five sets, ensuring plenty of high-stakes action.

The tournament also includes youth competitions. In the U12 category, two teams each from SKW and hosts CFC will compete. The U15 category features two teams from SKW, alongside SFC and CFC sides, giving young talent a platform to showcase their skills.

Spectators can look forward to a weekend of thrilling fistball, elite competition, and plenty of local and international talent on display.
