Kasi Golf wins as Annual Ace backs education
The 2026 edition of The Annual Ace delivered on the fairways and off them, raising significant funds in support of early childhood education in Namibia.
Hosted at the Windhoek Golf & Country Club, the charity golf day generated N$81 000 through a lively auction, while the event itself recorded a profit of N$20 000. In total, N$101 000 will go directly to the national education project of the African Child Development Trust (ACDT).
On the course, Kasi Golf claimed top honours. The winning team included Gerald Kariwo, Wisdom Moyo, Vilho Ndaikile. Second place went to Pupkewitz Motors — Janse Janse van Rensburg, Charine Janse van Rensburg, Norman Glen-Spyron and Jaco Schoonbee. Old Mutual secured third, with Rex Mutelo, Fabio do Rego, John Hesekiel and Tommy Nangombe completing the podium.
Kasi Golf’s Vilho Ndaikile, who was also active in the auction, said their commitment goes beyond competition.
“We are always participating in this tournament. This is our second year running. We are in it for the cause, as you saw at the auction. We got a few items and made pledges. We are in it for the kids, always eager to give back. That is what this tournament is all about,” he said.
He added that the event has grown significantly. “This year was fantastic. The organisers keep upgrading step by step, but this year they really went all out. If more corporate organisations and sponsors come through, it will be an epic event,” Ndaikile said.
ACDT Executive Director Sharnay Botha praised the support behind the day.
“The success of the Annual Ace 2026 is a testament to the power of community, generosity and shared purpose. We are grateful for the support from bidders, donors, sponsors and volunteers. Their commitment enables the African Child Development Trust to continue making a meaningful impact and educating children across Namibia,” she said.
With growing corporate support, competitive golf and generous contributions, The Annual Ace 2.0 once again showed how sport can drive meaningful change beyond the course.
