CoW takes a closer look at electric meters
The City of Windhoek (CoW) announced that it is currently conducting a technical verification exercise for targeted electricity billing meters and demand-side management devices.This exercise will continue until 30 April 2023.
The purpose is to ensure that electricity meters and demand-side management devices at targeted sites are fully functional and replaced where required.
In light of this, municipal officials need access to the targeted properties within the boundaries of Windhoek to carry out this exercise. The verification will take place on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 08:00 to 16:30.
Officials will be identifiable by the navy-blue two-piece overall with grey reflectors stripes and the City of Windhoek logo. The officials will also display their City of Windhoek verification officers’ employee cards.
The City said that this exercise is targeted at a limited number of customers and should not be confused with the municipal services audit currently underway.
