E.M.A receives medical equipment
The German embassy in Windhoek announced its continued partnering with the Emergency Medical Assistance Organisation (E.M.A.) to support government in providing medical assistance. In September last year, E.M.A. received a grant of N$1.7m through the embassy’s micro project fund to procure five mobile medical emergency units and additional medical equipment to support the Katutura Intermediate Hospital.
Earlier today, the official handing over of the equipment took place together with Dr Andreas Götze, Chargé d’ Affaires of the German embassy, and the Executive Director of the Ministry of Health, Ben Nangombe at the hospital.
The equipment will manage the influx of patients to medical emergency units; more specifically, support the treatment of emergencies and casualties, and therefore provide help where it is most needed.
E.M.A is a non-profit organisation that was founded in November 2019 to make emergency care available to everyone by offering first aid with its emergency ambulance service. The ambulance service is provided free of charge to community members who cannot afford a private service.
