CoW looks at waste-to-energy solutions

Windhoek mayor Joseph Uapingene received a courtesy visit from officials of IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute contracted by the City of Windhoek (CoW) to conduct a pre-feasibility study, financed by the City and Smart City Sweden, on the proposed CoW waste-to-energy project.
The Swedish Environmental Research Institute is a non-profit organisation that provides consulting services to businesses and organisations that require professional assistance with sustainability and the environment.
The representatives of IVL have been engaging with the technical departments of the City since they were awarded the contract end of December 2022.
Uapingene encouraged the team working on the project to do their best in finalising the task at hand in due time.
