Penduka access road still closed
The City of Windhoek has confirmed that the access road to Penduka Village near Goreangab Dam will remain closed as construction works are still ongoing and were not completed within the initially communicated timeframe.
Residents and visitors are advised to continue using the designated detour route.
The Temporary Access Plan (TAP) remains in effect and includes the closure of Roads 11 and 12, as well as all Stage 1, 2 and 3 interfaces, to allow for the Stage 2B takeover and ongoing Stage 3 construction activities.
Road users are urged to approach the affected intersection with caution and to comply with all temporary traffic signage.
The construction work is expected to continue until 29 July 2026.
The City of Windhoek apologises for the inconvenience caused and thanked the public for their continued cooperation during the period.
