Facelifted Pajero Sport levels up with more features

Exciting new look for the same price
Mitsubishi Motors South Africa has unveiled a refreshed Pajero Sport SUV, bringing updated styling, improved tech, and enhanced safety features — all at the same price as before.
This update follows Mitsubishi’s recent strategy to boost value without increasing costs, as seen with the launches of the Next-Gen Triton and Outlander Sport. “This is more than a facelift,” says Jeffrey Allison, General Manager: Marketing at Mitsubishi Motors SA. “It’s part of our commitment to offering more value in a price-sensitive market.”
The updated Pajero Sport sports a reworked front grille with Mitsubishi’s latest dynamic shield design, revamped front and rear garnishes, and new 18-inch alloy wheels. These changes sharpen its bold SUV identity while maintaining its rugged appeal.
Inside, the facelift brings a fully digital eight” driver display, an updated steering wheel, and a sleek black ceiling headliner. Standard features remain generous across all models and include leather seats, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, an eight-inch infotainment screen with smartphone connectivity, sunroof, keyless entry, and an electronic tailgate.
Proven performance
Under the bonnet is Mitsubishi’s trusted 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine delivering 133kW and 430Nm through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Super Select 4WD-II system on 4x4 variants, combined with a ladder-frame chassis, ensures strong off-road performance. Drive modes for Gravel, Mud/Snow, Sand and Rock adjust key settings to suit terrain.
The Pajero Sport now includes new features like the Ultrasonic Mis-acceleration Mitigation System (UMS) and a Multi Around Monitor for improved manoeuvring. Core safety remains strong with Mitsubishi’s RISE body structure, seven airbags, ISOFIX, ABS, EBD, ASTC, hill-start assist, hill descent control, trailer stability assist, and more.
Unbeatable Value
Despite extensive upgrades, pricing remains unchanged. Mitsubishi says this reinforces the Pajero Sport’s position as a top-value offering in the adventure SUV segment. The updated range includes three well-specced derivatives, delivering legendary off-road capability with everyday practicality.
With refreshed styling, new tech, and advanced safety packed into a familiar price, the facelifted Pajero Sport offers even more for adventurous families. - quickpic.co.za
