Old Mutual Wealth has officially handed over a sponsorship valued at N$43 000 to the 2025 University of Namibia (UNAM) Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery graduates, reaffirming its commitment to supporting education and nurturing Namibia’s future healthcare professionals. The sponsorship included essential medical and professional items such as penlights, surgical caps, Crocs, and personalised name tags, aimed at helping students transition into their professional roles as they complete their academic journey. The handover marks an important milestone for the Class of 2025 as they prepare to enter the healthcare sector. Speaking at the handover, Old Mutual Wealth CEO Wikus Fourie highlighted the importance of investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals.
“This is one of the most important moments in the lives of our future doctors. We believe that by investing in their academic journey, we are helping to create opportunities for the next generation,” said Fourie. In addition to the sponsorship, Old Mutual Wealth engaged directly with the students through an interactive session, offering practical advice and insights to help them prepare for the transition into the world of work. Through initiatives like this, Old Mutual Wealth continues to bring its purpose of empowering positive futures to life by supporting programmes that make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of young Namibians. Old Mutual Wealth extends its appreciation to UNAM and the graduating class for the opportunity to contribute to this initiative and wishes the Class of 2025 every success in their future endeavours.
