Pothole repairs underway in Windhoek
The City of Windhoek is carrying out pothole repairs on various streets across the city from 18 to 25 September 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to improve road conditions.
The repair programme covers streets in the southern, western and northern suburbs, including Etjo, Dr Theo-Ben Gurirab, Almadine, Naukluft, Rooskarst, Feste, Anton Lubowski, Schwabe, Rykvoet, Le Roux, Van Coller, Kasteel, Berg, Spencer, Chapman, Simon Bolivar and Bauer.
Other streets included in the programme are Freud, Anna, Best, Titan, Cobart, Dr W Kulz, Hadley, Simanda Khama, Trevithick, Rowan, Beethoven and Mahatma Gandhi, among others.
In the Roads North/Western Suburbs area, repairs are scheduled for streets including Siegfried Tjitemisa, Claudius Kandovazu, Abraham Mashego, Thames, Kambonde Ghope, Omungwindi, Mahatma Gandhi, Magnolia, Mercedes and Richardine Koppers.
The City has urged motorists and other road users to exercise caution when approaching maintenance teams and to follow all traffic signs and instructions.
Motorists are also advised to use alternative routes where diversions are in place to minimise disruptions and support the safety of road workers and road users.
The City apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked residents for their patience and cooperation while the repairs are under way.
