Tuesday, 16 June 2026 - Pozi has donated 67 mattresses to the Temporary Winter Shelter hosted at Khomasdal Baptist Church, providing much-needed support to vulnerable members of the community during the cold winter months. The donation marks Pozi's first formal Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and reflects the company's commitment to making a meaningful difference in the communities where it operates.

As Pozi expands its student accommodation footprint into Khomasdal, near Triumphant College, the company saw an opportunity to give back and establish meaningful connections within the community it is becoming part of. "At Pozi, we believe that creating spaces for people extends beyond accommodation. It is about contributing positively to the communities around us," said Valontino James, Pozi Co-Founder. "As we establish our presence in Khomasdal, we wanted our introduction to the community to be one of support, care, and partnership. The Temporary Winter Shelter provides an essential service, and we are honoured to contribute in a way that will help improve the comfort and dignity of those seeking refuge from the cold."

The Temporary Winter Shelter, hosted by Khomasdal Baptist Church, serves as a safe haven for individuals and families in need during the winter season. The donation of 67 mattresses will help ensure that shelter residents have a safe, comfortable place to rest during some of the year's coldest months. Benjory Losper, representative of Khomasdal Baptist Church, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that partnerships with organisations such as Pozi play a vital role in helping the shelter meet the growing needs of the community during winter.

This initiative represents the beginning of Pozi's broader commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. As the company continues to grow, it remains dedicated to identifying opportunities where it can make a positive and lasting impact in the communities it serves.
