Strong turnout for coffee extravaganza

Bank Windhoek, in collaboration with VISA, successfully hosted the inaugural Bank Windhoek Coffee Extravaganza on Saturday, 6 June 2026, at the Windhoek Country Club Resort, drawing an overwhelming crowd of coffee lovers, food enthusiasts and social explorers. With 1,284 tickets sold and 20 stalls participating, the new lifestyle event made a strong debut and signalled its potential to become a much-anticipated annual highlight on Namibia’s social calendar.


Held from 10:00 to 17:00, the one-day public event delivered a vibrant programme of immersive coffee experiences, including live roasting sessions, barista competitions, tasting stations and curated culinary demonstrations. Guests engaged enthusiastically with the event’s interactive format, which celebrated the journey from bean to cup while creating a lively atmosphere of connection, discovery and shared enjoyment.

Bank Windhoek's Head of Strategic Communication and Social Impact, Bronwyn Moody, said the success of the first-ever Bank Windhoek Coffee Extravaganza reflects the strong appetite for lifestyle experiences that bring communities together while showcasing local talent and enterprise.

The remarkable attendance and energy throughout the day exceeded our expectations and affirmed the value of creating platforms that celebrate connection, creativity and community. The event featured a strong line-up of local talent and crowd-pleasing experiences, from live roasting showcases and barista demonstrations to cooking sessions by Namibian culinary personalities.


Throughout the day, guests explored a diverse range of coffee flavours, brewing styles, and food pairings, while vendors and exhibitors enjoyed valuable exposure to a broad, engaged audience. Moody said that Bank Windhoek extended its appreciation to all attendees, partners, vendors, chefs, baristas, sponsors and media stakeholders whose contributions helped make the event a success. She concluded that the strong turnout and positive response underscored the concept's appeal and reinforced the Bank's commitment to creating memorable experiences that resonate with its diverse communities.
