She said that the Bank believes active lifestyles help people build discipline, resilience, connection and overall wellbeing, while community-centred events like the Red Run create opportunities for people to pursue healthier habits together.
“This focus on wellbeing aligns with Bank Windhoek’s wider support for social impact initiatives that strengthen health, uplift communities and encourage long-term positive outcomes,” said Moody. Participants can look forward to a rewarding race-day experience, with each entrant receiving a Bank Windhoek Red Run shirt and a goody bag, and finishers’ medals awarded to those who complete their chosen distance. From the buzz of the starting line to the sense of achievement at the finish, the event is designed to motivate participation, celebrate effort and inspire even more Namibians to embrace fitness as part of everyday life. With more than 2,000 participants recorded in the 2025 edition, the Bank Windhoek Red Run has quickly grown into one of Namibia’s most anticipated community fitness events. The 2026 edition is set to raise the bar even higher, with organisers aiming to welcome 2,500 participants, making this the perfect time for runners and walkers alike to commit early and be part of the momentum.
