Yango Namibia took centre stage at the 6th Business Summit Namibia demonstrating how technology is creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs and contributing to the country's growing digital economy. Representing the company during the entrepreneurs' panel discussion, Yango Namibia Country Manager Alex Mungai joined a distinguished lineup of business leaders to explore the theme, "Building Scalable and Formidable Businesses

Through Disciplined Execution and Tireless Commitment”.

Speaking on behalf of Yango Namibia, Mungai highlighted the role technology plays in helping entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses. He noted that while great ideas are important, long-term success depends on disciplined execution, resilience, and the ability to continuously adapt to changing market conditions. “People often associate successful businesses with great ideas, but ideas are only the beginning. Businesses grow because founders show up every day, solve problems, adapt to change, and continue moving forward even when the path is uncertain" said Mungai. He further explained that Yango's technology platform is designed to empower, rather than replace, local businesses by providing digital tools that help entrepreneurs improve efficiency

and reach more customers. Through intelligent routing, fleet management technology, digital payment solutions, and operational insights, the platform enables local transport companies and fleet owners to focus on growing their businesses while delivering quality services. "At Yango, we believe technology should empower local entrepreneurs. Our role is to provide the technology while our partners bring the local expertise, relationships, and

entrepreneurial spirit that drive long-term success" he said. Mungai also shared how Yango continues to create opportunities for Namibians through its platform, whether as driver-partners, fleet owners, or business partners. By working with local transport operators, the company contributes to job creation, entrepreneurship, and

greater participation in Namibia's digital economy.

Highlighting the impact of entrepreneurship, Mungai shared the story of a Yango partner entrepreneur who started her business with just N$2,000 and has since grown it into an operation that creates earning opportunities for more than 4,000 partner drivers. He said the story illustrates that successful businesses are built not only on capital but also on determination, consistency, and the willingness to embrace innovation. The discussion duirng the summit also explored the realities of doing business in Namibia, including access to opportunities, the challenges entrepreneurs face, and the importance of resilience, collaboration, and continuous learning. Speakers and panellists encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to remain committed to their vision, embrace technology, and focus

on creating long-term value.

Yango Namibia's participation in the summit reflects the company's ongoing commitment to supporting local entrepreneurship and advancing digital transformation in Namibia. Through technology, strategic partnerships, and innovation, the company continues to empower entrepreneurs with the tools they need to grow sustainable businesses and contribute to the country's economic development.
