Bank Windhoek names Indongo sector lead

Bank Windhoek announced the appointment of Glory Indongo, CA(NAM), as Sector Team Lead within its Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Division, effective 15 December 2025. 


In his new role, Indongo will lead the Bank’s growth agenda across selected specialist sectors, focusing on developing and executing client and product strategies, strengthening strategic relationships with corporate and institutional clients, and coordinating integrated, multi-service solutions across the Bank. 


He will also contribute to Bank Windhoek’s CIB Division’s broader strategy by leveraging market intelligence, competitor analysis, and trade flow insights to develop innovative and compliant financial solutions aligned with clients’ strategic objectives. 


Commenting on Indongo’s appointment, Bank Windhoek’s executive officer of corporate and institutional banking, Lukas Nanyemba, said Indongo’s experience and leadership would add significant value to the Bank’s sector-driven approach. 


He noted that Indongo brings deep financial expertise, strong governance experience and a clear understanding of complex corporate client needs. “His appointment strengthens our sector leadership model and positions the CIB Division to continue delivering tailored, value-adding solutions that support our clients’ growth ambitions while maintaining disciplined risk management,” said Nanyemba. 


Indongo brings more than a decade of experience in banking and financial services. Before his appointment, he served as chief financial officer at a prospective financial institution, where he was responsible for country-level finance strategy, capital and liquidity planning, statutory and management reporting and oversight of treasury, capital management, tax, compliance and procurement functions. 


He has previously held senior leadership roles within Capricorn Group and Bank Windhoek, including Head: Financial Reporting at Capricorn Group and Head: Management Accounting at Bank Windhoek. Indongo has also served in various governance and industry roles, including as a director of Namclear (Section 21), a trustee of the Capricorn Group Retirement Fund, a director of Capricorn Connect (Pty) Ltd, and a founding member of the Capricorn Group NeXtGen Board. He has also contributed to the national discourse on Namibia's financial policy environment by participating in industry forums.


A registered Chartered Accountant in Namibia, Indongo holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Chartered Accounting stream) from the University of Cape Town and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Sciences (CTA) from the University of South Africa. He has also completed the Capricorn Management Development Programme in partnership with Stellenbosch University.
