Momentum Metropolitan Namibia has announced the appointment of Evangelina Nailenge as Executive: Retail Distribution, effective March 2026.

In her new role, Nailenge will be responsible for developing and executing distribution strategies that place clients at the centre. The focus will be on ensuring that more Namibians have access to appropriate financial solutions through a high-performing, client-focused network of advisers and brokers. This, the company said, is expected to drive tangible improvements in client experience and deliver positive financial outcomes across the country.

Nailenge is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of varied experience in the financial sector, including over a decade in executive leadership roles. She previously served as Managing Director of Momentum Investments Namibia, where she oversaw asset management, wealth, and collective investment schemes. During her tenure, she successfully implemented a turnaround strategy that resulted in significant growth in assets under management and administration, while also improving client outcomes, retention, and overall business profitability.

Over the years, she has also provided strategic and governance oversight as a non-executive director on both public and private sector boards, reflecting her expertise in governance, strategy and stakeholder management.

Nailenge holds a Master’s degree in Commerce (with distinction) and an Honours degree in Commerce (with distinction), both specialising in Money and Banking. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and has attended various leadership development programmes.

Commenting on the appointment, Sakaria Nghikembua, Group CEO of Momentum Metropolitan Namibia, said Nailenge brings exceptional leadership experience and a deep understanding of the Namibian market.

“At the heart of our distribution strategy is a simple belief that every Namibian deserves access to quality financial solutions that protect and grow what matters most to them,” he said.

Nghikembua said Nailenge’s appointment reflects the company’s commitment to delivering on that vision.

“She brings the experience and insight necessary to strengthen a model that puts clients first. I look forward to enhancing service excellence for our clients and growing the business through her leadership,” he said.

Nailenge said she is honoured to take on the role and contribute to expanding access to financial solutions in Namibia.

“Namibians work hard for their financial futures and deserve solutions that meet both their current and future needs,” she said.

“Momentum Metropolitan aims to support businesses and individuals across all levels of society in achieving their financial goals and life aspirations. I am committed to building a distribution model that earns client trust, empowers advisers and brokers, and expands access to sustainable financial solutions for individuals and their families,” she said.
