Agra profit outlook improves
Agra Limited expects its profit after tax and earnings per share to increase by between 22.5% and 27.5% for the financial year ended 31 July 2026, supported by diversified revenue streams and improved livestock market activity.
In a trading statement released last week Wednesday, the agricultural services group said its basic earnings per share and headline earnings per share were also expected to rise by between 22.5% and 27.5% compared with the previous financial year.
Agra said the diversification of its revenue streams continued to support its performance, with sustained growth in non-agricultural activities making a meaningful contribution to overall earnings.
The group said this had strengthened the resilience of its business across varying market conditions.
Favourable rainfall and improved grazing conditions across large parts of Namibia also supported growth during the financial year.
The improved conditions helped livestock production recover, stimulating activity in the livestock market and related services, which contributed positively to the group’s performance.
Agra’s results will provide an indication of how improved agricultural conditions and growth beyond its traditional agricultural activities contributed to its financial performance during the year.
The company cautioned shareholders that the trading statement had not been reviewed or reported on by its auditors and advised them to exercise caution when dealing in its shares before the publication of the final results.
Agra expects to release its financial results for the year ended 31 July 2026 on the Namibian Electronic Securities Exchange News Service (NENS) on or about 23 October.
