Captains of industry join budget dialogue

The Namibian Annual Budget Dialogue 2024, co-hosted by Standard Bank Namibia, the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI), Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) and Market Watch, was held in Windhoek on Wednesday evening.
The theme of this year’s dialogue was “A New Dawn: Stimulating Sustainable Local Economic Growth”.
Finance minister Iipumbu Shiimi delivered a key note address, followed by a panel discussion.
Shiimi’s co-panellists were Vetumbuavi Mungunda (director: NCCI), Nangula Uaandja (CEO: Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board), Salomo Hei (managing director: High Economic Intelligence) and Idi Itope (head of domestic taxes: Namibia Revenue Agency). Denver Kisting acted as moderator.
Public participation in the form of a Q&A session followed.
