This week's Chart of the Week looks at the 15 largest urban localities as stated in the Preliminary Census Results of the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA).
Windhoek remains an outlier in terms of urban locality population, with a total population of 486 169, says Cirrus Capital economist Tannan Groenewald.
From 2011, the 15 largest urban localities remain the same.
Windhoek, Rundu, Walvis Bay, Swakopmund and Oshakati remain unchanged in the top five.
The Otjiwarongo population has grown 73.5% and is now the sixth largest urban locality.
Okahandja was the fastest growing urban locality, with population up 99.5%.
Tsumeb and Gobabis increased by four rankings in the top 15 urban localities, while Rehoboth, Ondangwa, Keetmanshoop and Ongwediva all dropped by three rankings.
