GIPF presence spreads to Outapi

Ogone Tlhage
The Government Institution Pension Fund (GIPF) says the establishment of an office in Outapi in the Omusati Region is part of efforts to spread its service offering to all its members throughout Namibia.

It follows the inauguration of its Outapi office earlier this week.

GIPF CEO Martin Inkumbi said: “The location for the GIPF regional office in Outapi is certainly well placed, due to the number of schools and hospitals and various ministries and departments of government, all being members of the GIPF,” he said.

GIPF board of trustees deputy vice chairperson, Evans Maswahu, said the addition of a new and permanent office at Outapi is a result of the fund’s strategic intent and mandate, which is to provide retirement and ancillary benefits to its members and their beneficiaries.

According to him, the Outapi regional office is one such investment that is a result of the fund's commitment to increase visibility.

“The GIPF shall remain steadfast in our vision to be a member-focused and globally leading pension fund dedicated to contributing to the growth and prosperity of the communities we serve,” Maswahu said.
