Indongo Hino has introduced a two-hour Express Service in Windhoek, alongside its existing 24-hour servicing option and a certified brake-testing facility, as it seeks to reduce vehicle downtime and improve aftersales support for commercial transport operators.

The new services were launched last week at the dealership’s premises in Bell Street. They have been available since 15 October 2026.

Dealer principal Ernest Thatcher said the initiatives reflected the company’s approach of adapting its services to customers’ needs rather than expecting customers to work around workshop availability.

He said the three services demonstrated a commitment to improving efficiency and understanding the importance of reliable transport operations to businesses and the wider economy.

“In our industry, ultimately, time is money,” Thatcher said.

The new Express Service is designed to get qualifying trucks serviced and back on the road within two hours, reducing downtime without compromising service quality, the company said.

Customers can wait at the dealership while trained workshop personnel carry out the work, offering a more convenient option for operators working to tight schedules.

Servicing around the clock

The 24-hour service option allows Hino truck owners to schedule maintenance at night, keeping their vehicles available for use during the day.

Indongo Hino said the service was intended to help transport operators make better use of their fleets by scheduling routine maintenance when trucks would otherwise be idle.

The company said conventional workshop hours no longer adequately served an industry in which transport operations often extend beyond the standard working day.

The dealership has also introduced a certified brake-testing facility, with brake testing becoming a standard part of Hino servicing at Indongo Hino.

The facility will also be available to other commercial vehicle operators and dealerships, extending access to brake-testing services beyond Hino customers.

Thatcher said the initiative reflected a broader commitment to vehicle safety and the commercial transport industry.

Improving aftersales support

Indongo Hino said the initiatives formed part of its efforts to make aftersales services more accessible, responsive and suited to the demands of modern fleet operators.

“The focus is not simply on servicing trucks faster or extending workshop hours. It is about building an aftersales environment that is more accessible, responsive, technologically capable and aligned with the demands of a modern economy,” the company said.

Thatcher said the dealership aimed to challenge conventional approaches to truck maintenance and continuously improve the ownership experience for Hino customers across Namibia.
