The Namibia Youth Energy Forum (NYEF) held a high-level a meeting with the Office of the President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, to formally introduce NYEF to the Presidency,advocate for youth-centered energy policies, and explore collaboration in areas such as local content development, policy formulation, and sector transformation.
The meeting reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to youth empowerment, inclusivity, and sustainable economic development. “This meeting strengthens our collective voice and capabilities as we continue to champion youth empowerment in shaping Namibia’s energy future. It is a powerful signal that the Presidency recognizes the role of youth in driving national progress,” said Andreas Paulus, the NYEF’s MD.

taking place from 4–5 November 2025 at Droombos, Windhoek. This first-of-its-kind event will bring together over 500 local and international delegates, industry leaders, and
young innovators to drive dialogue, build partnerships, and recognize excellence across the energy value chain.
The meeting, hosted at State House, was held with Cornelia Shilunga, special advisor and head of the upstream petroleum unit in the Presidency, Carlo McLeodas, special advisor and deputy head of the Unit, and Joseph Amakali, technical assistant.
Representing the NYEF were Miguel Hamutenya, the NYEF advisory board’s chairperson, Gisela Sebastiao, NYEF vice-chairperson, Olavi Hangula, advisory board member, Andreas Paulus, the NYEF’s MD and project manager Namwenyo Mhata.
