Pupkewitz Motors welcomes Tata back to the market
Pupkewitz Motors recently announced the relaunch TATA Motors in Namibia, introducing a new era of mobility built on innovation, safety, and design excellence.TATA Motors is one of the world’s largest and most respected automotive brands, with more than 1.3 million vehicles sold annually across passenger, commercial, luxury, and electric segments, and a presence in over 125 countries.
In recent years, Tata has transformed its line-up under the “New Forever” philosophy, redefining itself through modern design, advanced safety technologies, and a focus on driving pleasure.
For Namibian customers, the arrival of TATA represents the meeting of two trusted legacies. Pupkewitz, celebrating 100 years of service in Namibia, has carefully selected TATA as a partner that shares its family values, long-term vision, and customer-first approach.
Nico Pieters, franchise executive at Pupkewitz Motors, shared his excitement about this milestone.
“Pupkewitz Motors has always stood for trust, quality, and innovation. Bringing TATA to Namibia was a deliberate and thoughtful decision. We take great care to partner with brands that match our legacy and ambition of bringing relevant products to the Namibian consumer. The TATA brand is globally respected, technologically advanced, and deeply customer focused. We are confident that the new range of TATA passenger vehicles with their bold design, outstanding safety ratings, and focus on driving pleasure will quickly be embraced by Namibians as a mobility partner for the future.”
Two models have officially arrived in Namibia: the TATA Punch and the TATA Tiago. The Punch, starting at N$254,900 with monthly instalments from N$4,399; is a compact SUV that combines striking design, high safety standards, and everyday practicality. The Tiago, starting at N$193,900 with monthly instalments from N$3,499; offers a stylish hatchback option with impressive standard features - an attractive choice for first-time buyers and families alike.
Both models embody TATA’s three key pillars:
? Design – youthful, modern styling that stands out on Namibian roads.
? Safety – a product line-up that includes three GNCAP 5-star and two 4-star rated vehicles, setting benchmarks for occupant protection.
? Driving Pleasure – refined engineering and thoughtful technology that make daily driving enjoyable and confident.
TATA also leads globally in electric mobility, offering a wide EV portfolio across price points and range options, proving its commitment to future-forward innovation. And the journey is just beginning for Namibia; the Harrier and Curvv are already on their way, expanding the line-up with models that reflect TATA’s bold design language, modern powertrains, and advanced safety technology.
This partnership between Pupkewitz Motors and TATA is a natural fit: both are family-founded businesses with strong values, deep community roots, and ambitious visions for the future.
