Savanna opens final booking month
Savanna Beef Processors has reminded shareholders, slaughter right holders and livestock producers that bookings for Quarter 3 slaughter dates, covering September to November 2026, must be submitted by 31 August.
The company said the booking window has entered its final month and urged producers to secure slaughter dates early to assist with operational planning and scheduling.
Savanna asked shareholders and slaughter right holders to notify the company if they intend to use their slaughter rights during the period or if they do not plan to utilise their allocation. Producers with cattle available beyond their allocated slaughter rights are also encouraged to contact the company.
The processor said it has sufficient slaughter capacity and is accepting cattle from shareholders, slaughter right holders and non-shareholders.
Bookings can be made through Savanna's online booking platform or by contacting its procurement team directly by phone or WhatsApp.
The company said its procurement team is available to assist producers with bookings and procurement requirements.
The reminder comes as Savanna continues to ramp up operations at its approximately N$300 million abattoir near Okahandja, which began slaughtering cattle in 2025. The company is working towards securing Southern African Development Community (SADC) and European Union (EU) export certification this year as it expands access to regional and international markets.

Earlier this year, the company issued 40 million ordinary shares under a subscription agreement concluded in October 2023, increasing its total issued share capital to 290,004,000 shares. The equity subscription, which formed part of the project's financing, was finalised after construction of the abattoir was completed and a taking-over certificate was issued in October 2025. Slaughtering operations began in 2025, with the company now targeting Southern African Development Community (SADC) and European Union (EU) export certification this year.
