The Sound Connects Fund (SCF) hosted an industry retreat in Windhoek, Namibia, on Thursday, June 29 as part of its week-long creative conference.
The retreat, held at the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) aimed to facilitate networking and collaboration between SCF grantees from different southern African countries and Namibian creatives. By bringing together like-minded individuals engaged in similar projects, the event sought to bolster the overall capacity and development of the cultural and creative industries in the region.

Boosting creativity
One of the highlights of the retreat was the exclusive premiere of the highly anticipated season 2 finale of Ngandu TV’s RocK The Boat, featuring the talented rap artist Lioness.
The SCF, a comprehensive initiative implemented by the Music In Africa Foundation and Goethe-Institut, focuses on accelerating the growth and capabilities of the cultural and creative sectors in southern Africa.
