STANLIB Namibia and Old Mutual Namibia have announced new executive appointments, strengthening leadership across the country’s investment management sector.

STANLIB Namibia has appointed Erastus Tshatumbu as managing director, effective 1 November 2026, subject to approval by the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (Namfisa).

Tshatumbu brings more than 13 years of experience in investments, asset management, wealth solutions and banking. He joins from Standard Bank Namibia, where he has served as head of business solutions since January 2025.

He previously spent seven years at FNB Namibia, including three years as head of investments, and held positions at Old Mutual Investment Group.

Meanwhile, Old Mutual Namibia has appointed Alovise Frey as general manager of finance and operations at Old Mutual Investment Group Namibia, effective 1 October 2026.

Frey has more than 12 years of experience across finance, risk management, credit, compliance, audit and taxation. She joins from FNB Namibia, where she was head of finance for the commercial banking segment, having previously held senior credit and risk management roles at FirstRand Namibia.

Old Mutual Investment Group managing director Sepo Haihambo said Frey’s experience and financial management expertise would strengthen the organisation’s leadership as it continues to grow.

Tshatumbu holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and statistics from the Polytechnic of Namibia and a postgraduate diploma in investment planning from the University of the Free State.

Frey holds an MBA from Stellenbosch Business School, postgraduate qualifications in risk management and accountancy, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Namibia. She is also a qualified chartered accountant.
