Windhoek Gymnasium unlocks the magic of ‘The Secret Chest’
Windhoek Gymnasium brought music, storytelling and imagination to life with the staging of its musical revue, The Secret Chest, held at the National Theatre of Namibia, from 30 September to 3 October.
The production featured more than 660 learners and 830 costumes, showcasing their talents through music, performance and storytelling.
The revue also included a drama play, adding another layer of storytelling and theatrical entertainment to the production. Learners took on various roles on stage, bringing the story and its characters to life for the audience.
Speaking to Network Media Hub on Saturday, Zanne-Ri Louw, who played the lead role, reflected on her experience in the production.
“It has been stressful but also sad because this is my first and last musical revue,” Louw said.
The performance gave learners an opportunity to express themselves creatively while creating a memorable experience for the school community.
