Jonathan Harris and Taikeisha Resandt were crowned Mr and Miss Face of Namibia 2023 at the Face of Namibia pageant last week, which took place at Naankuse @ Utopia in Windhoek.
The pageant's purpose is to select ambassadors who represent the organisation and company, showcase different advocacy skills, and promote youth empowerment.

A beacon of change
Resandt hails from Windhoek and has recently begun her journey as a first-year student at the University of Namibia (Unam).
At 19 years old, she advocates for self-growth and empowerment, and she has discovered her sanctuary in the gym. She said the gym has it transformed her physically, but it has also nurtured her mental resilience.
Resandt's path to the crown was a whirlwind of self-discovery and empowerment. Despite joining the pageant later than her peers, her determination was unwavering. The journey not only fueled her confidence but also connected her with new people. On the night of the crowning, Resandt's victory was not solely about the title; it was also a testament to her inner growth and a reminder that belief can lead to endless possibilities.
During her reign, she aims to address critical issues affecting vulnerable children in Namibia. Her heart beats for the eradication of hunger and healthcare disparities among homeless children. In addition, she envisions collaborations with various sectors to ensure accessible healthcare, food, and other essential needs for young children. Moreover, she's committed to guiding adolescents towards informed decisions on family planning, therefore shaping a brighter future for Namibia.
