The University of Namibia (Unam) Investment Society (Unis), a student-led club and a finance hub, recently held its first annual general meeting (AGM) for 2023.
The meeting was attended by Etuna Hango, a renowned young investor and senior associate at EOS Capital, who delivered a lecture on 'An Introduction to Investing'.
During the lecture, Hango shared valuable insights into the basics of investing, including the importance of setting investment goals, understanding risk, and diversifying one's portfolio. He also discussed different investment options available to individuals, including stocks, bonds, real estate and alternative investments.

Valued insight
The lecture was well-received by members of the society, who expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from a young but experienced investor such as Hango. The society's president, Kimberg Hango, commended Hango for his insightful presentation and stated that it would go a long way in empowering members of the society and Unam students to make informed investment decisions.
Moreover, the AGM was a success, and Unis looks forward to organising more events that provide its members with valuable insights into the world of finance and investing.
