Fillemon Auene started his career in tourism in 2014.
His first job was at Avis Car Rental as a driver; he then left after two years to work at Easy Cab as a driver, and while he was working at Easy Cab, he realised that he had a passion for tourism and started his own business, Quest Tours and Safaris.

Quest Tours and Safaris
Quest Tours and Safaris is a transportation and tour company that offers a wide range of services. Established in 2018, the business is passionate about creating youth employment opportunities as well as raising awareness for tourism in Namibia.
Through the provision of dependable, secure, and pleasant shuttle tours, Quest Tours seeks to make life simpler for tourists. The company's tagline is ;In Namibia, pick a place, and we'll take you there'.
The firm wants to provide corporate clients with a transfer service for team-building excursions as well.

Motivation
When asked what his biggest motivator was, Auene said: "My biggest motivator is simply myself". Auene stated that where he comes from always serves as motivation for where he wants to be, and this makes him work even harder.
The Quest owner highlighted that he believes the tourism industry is one of the most thrilling industries one needs to tap into.
"We are a group of 10 black-owned entrepreneurs thriving to make Namibia the best country to visit in Africa by proving nothing but the best safari holiday in Namibia," he said.

Challenges
"My biggest challenge was getting stranded in Damaraland, a few kilometres from the petrified forest to Khorixas town. On this day, I was doing an eight-day safari starting from Sossusvlei."
He said this experience tested his endurance and determination, as it was not a pleasant experience. He noted that the water got into the engine system, and as a result, the car shut down every five minutes.
"I urge our government to implement a system that focuses on assisting Namibian black-owned entrepreneurs who are in tourism," said Auene. He believes that tourism is not getting the exposure that it should and encourages more young people to dive into the industry.
In his free time, Auene enjoys doing outdoor activities like hiking at Daan Viljoen, camping, bowling, and archery.
He also enjoys spending time with his friends and family. The Quest Tours owner also added that he reads books on wildlife and landscapes any chance that he gets.
