BoN strengthens digital leadership with Tshiningayamwe

The Bank of Namibia (BoN) has announced the promotion of Paulus Tshiningayamwe to the position of Director: Information Technology.
Tshiningayamwe brings over 17 years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity to his new role. His expertise spans ICT strategy, enterprise architecture, digital transformation and cybersecurity governance.
Before this appointment, he served as the deputy director of IT infrastructure, where he played a key role in enhancing the bank’s technology landscape and driving digital initiatives.

Studious performer
Tshiningayamwe holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and completed the senior management development programme at the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
His academic background also includes an honours in computer networking and a national diploma in information systems administration from the Polytechnic of Namibia.
Additionally, he has completed executive programmes from the London Business School.
Tshiningayamwe is an active contributor to national and regional forums on technology leadership and digital innovation and currently serves as a board member of the Central Procurement Board of Namibia.

Powering progress
In his new role, Tshiningayamwe will provide strategic leadership in delivering secure, resilient and innovative technology solutions that support the bank’s operations and the stability of the national payment system.
His responsibilities will include overseeing enterprise architecture, IT governance, cybersecurity and infrastructure operations, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives.
Through advanced IT infrastructure and innovation, he is expected to drive operational efficiency and further strengthen the bank’s technological foundation.
