With over two decades of experience in recruitment, Yvonne le Roux has established herself as a trusted name in Namibia’s talent acquisition space.
As the managing member of Elite Employment, a consultancy she founded in 2005, Le Roux has built a business grounded in professionalism, integrity and people-centric values.
Before launching Elite Employment, Le Roux gained valuable experience in logistics, client service and business development across Namibia and the United Kingdom.
These roles sharpened her skills in stakeholder engagement and operations, laying a strong foundation for her entrepreneurial ventures.
Academically, Le Roux holds a master of business administration (MBA) from Steinbeis University in Berlin, where her research focused on effective background screening in recruitment.
She also holds a diploma in human resource management from Regent Business School and a marketing management qualification from Northlink College.
Inspiration from abroad
Her time in the UK was important.
“I noticed a major difference in how recruitment processes were managed,” Le Roux explains. “The level of support provided to both companies and candidates was far more structured. I saw a gap in the Namibian market and believed we could add real value with a more supportive, professional approach.”
This belief led to the founding of Elite Employment, which has since grown into a respected consultancy offering executive recruitment, background screening, psychometric testing and skills assessments.
Strategic leadership in practice
As managing member, Le Roux now focuses on high-level strategy, market engagement and continuous process optimisation.
While she’s less involved in day-to-day operations, she still leads executive recruitment projects to ensure top-tier service delivery. “A typical day is a mix of client meetings, internal coordination and strategic planning,” she says. “No two days are the same, but the focus always remains on quality and relationships."
Le Roux has navigated numerous economic shifts, adjusting service offerings and targeting emerging sectors to maintain business sustainability. “Balancing quick turnarounds with quality has always been a challenge, especially at the executive level,” she says. “We’ve addressed this by investing in strong systems and long-term partnerships.”
Elite Employment’s strategic vision includes enhancing its background screening and psychometric services, leveraging global networks like ENEX for executive search, and investing in technology to improve efficiency and user experience.
“We want to play a more strategic role in Namibia’s workforce planning and leadership development,” Le Roux states. “Our goal is a sustainable business that continues to deliver value to both clients and candidates.”
